When it comes to a creative and inspiring environment, everyone has an idea on what works best for them. Some enjoy working in large groups so they can meet new people, while others lean towards working one-on-one with an instructor or taking a private class with just a few friends or family member so that they can enjoy the company of someone they know, while still getting the experience of working in a quieter setting.
Others prefer to do so from the comfort of their own home surrounded by their own inspiration and like to do so via ZOOM or by way of an in person visit from an art instructor or even outdoors "plein air". Whatever your preference is, being able to accommodate these learning environments is something we strive for.
Some Q & A about private lessons
Who can benefit from private art lessons?
Everyone! Private art lessons give the student better access to the instructors attention and in-depth knowledge. It encourages the student to ask questions which becomes beneficial as you move on to more advanced techniques that are not normally taught in most art classes and the knowledge and instruction gained from them will carry into the future.
What if I don't have any experience?
No problem! All of my lessons are tailored to fit your needs and its something we cover before I put a lesson plan together. Don't let being new at something stop you from giving it a try, because you'll be amazed at what you can create!
What if I don't have any supplies?
If you do have your own supplies we recommend to bring them so that we can help you learn more about what you have on hand, but if not we can supply whats needed for use for an extra charge.
Where will the lessons take place?
Private lessons take place either in our studio, your home or via ZOOM

We can also take the classes outdoors during nice weather!
How much do lessons cost?
Starting prices are listed below, but we do offer a 10% senior discount on all private art lessons regardless of location and discounts are applied when multiple sessions are booked at once.

The booking process and lesson pricing
The first step in booking private art lessons is to contact us to setup a free consultation.These consultations are done either over ZOOM or in person. At this meeting we will talk about your past experiences and discuss your goals and vision for the lessons. We also offer single session lessons but do find that many students benefit from 4 lessons or more - with 6 being a great number as it gives you time to absorb what you learn and work towards a final project goal. The number of lessons needed is an individual recommendation, based on your personal goals and mediums and something we discuss at the free consult.

I'm still not sure about in-person meetings yet due to the pandemic, I live too far away or I simply enjoy virtual learning. Are there any other options?
ABSOLUTELY! Another option for private offsite lessons are doing them virtually via ZOOM! This will allow you to complete them from the comfort of your own home.

What if I cant make it to you or want to purchase art lessons for a home bound friend or senior?
Private in home sessions are also a great way to offer something exciting to home bound senior citizen, or a friend recovering from a surgery or who can’t leave the house just yet.
If coming to our studio for an art lesson isn't something that is in the cards for you at this time, its not the only way to get creative! The first option we offer are "off-site" private lessons. This means we travel to you! The location can either be your home, outdoors or a local cafe (depending on medium and project chosen)
